Our Farm. Our Story.
Our story begins in the 1960s. While selling vegetables in the historic Dublin Corporation Fruit and Vegetable Market, young Eddie McCormack noticed that a lot of the produce on sale was imported. A graduate of Warrenstown Horticultural College, Eddie knew his stuff and realised that much of what he saw could be grown locally in Ireland.
In the 1990s, Eddie’s son, Stephen, graduated from the same horticultural college and joined the family farm full time. Like father, like son, the pair shared a vision – not only to grow the business but also to grow what everyone else imports.
By the end of the decade, Eddie and Stephen were growing herbs and baby leaf salads exclusively and in 2007 started supplying their first supermarket chain – Superquinn. Other retail chains soon followed.
Today Stephen heads up the business and McCormack Family Farms have become Ireland’s largest grower of baby leaf salads. We also specialise in fresh cut herbs, microgreens and edible flowers.
